We had planned to expand into the next bay to give us a little more room and set a finish date for August 1st, this year. Of course, there were many things to be done before the big day, but we pressed on and finally were ready. It actually was the day of my birthday when they installed the carpet and moved absolutely everything. Yep, it was a complete mess. Now, that was a long day. And we did it a week early.
We now have a 5-foot opening with step and railings from one big room into the rest of the office. WOW, there is soooo much more room! No more bumping behinds trying to get around each other. With one of the girls 9 months pregnant there was even less room to squeeze by each other. But everything is now done and we are into our new space with much needed additional room for the wigs. New shelves, large posters, cabinets and a private room for trying on wigs has really made the shop classy. I will send along a photo when I get the rest of teh touches done.
We still want to be mainly on the Internet but if someone should want to come by and try aon a wig before purchasing than we can now do that in style. Please stop by the web site as we have new lines for Jon Renau and Raquel Welch. The new fall line will be coming soon as well. Thanks for your support, Donna

I had to make an unexpected trip out of town to see family that I had not seen in years. I grabbed tow wigs for the trip. One short wig from the Raquel Welch mystique collection, and one long wig by Jon Renau-Zita. They looked so good. Most everyone liked the long wig on me best, but I preferred the short wig (mystique). They were both fun to wear and looked great so I will be wearing them more often. The Zita, by Jon Renau, is a stacked color wig, and different than the regular highlighted wigs. You just got to check it out at http://www.thewigstop.com/ . It sure made having a "good hair day" much easier and lots of fun. I make sure I always have a wig around for these emergencies. Even my mom now wears a wig most of the time. (Yes, she got it from me), and everyone thinks it is her real hair too.

New Wigs

The new line of Raquel Welch Wigs came in today, and we had alot of fun opening all the boxes and trying them on. We also had a few laughs, as many of the styles are just not for me. You gotta be able to laugh at yourself. With the new line are several wigs that are synthetic but you can actually use a curling iron, a flat iron and a blow dryer on them. I can't wait to try one out. I am very poor at styling hair so I won't be doing too much experimenting with them. But it is sure goood to be able to style the synthetic wigs as they are much les expensive than the human hair wigs. I have posted even more pictures on the website of the new Raquel Welch wigs. Take a minute and stop by and tell me what you think. I look forward to hearing your opinions.

We should all give back
We also like to give back to the community. We are trying to set up a regular donation to women who have had breast cancer and can't afford a wig. Also, to donate to Children's Miracle Network, the Humane Society (we just love animals). It is not as simple as it seems to have a company donate instead of an individual as well as how to setup the fund and transfer the money to the charity. In another year we will be well on our way to helping those around us, selling lots of wigs to satisfied customers and my daughter can still work at home with her children (my wonderful grandkids)
Remember to take a look at all the new and exciting wigs we have to offer on the website www.thewigstop.com

A Funny Story about Rachael Welch
One of our funny stories is that we were trying to get the contract in place for the Rachael Welch line. We also had a training class at that time with about 7 other people running around the office. I kept telling my daughter that I needed to call Rachael Welch. That certainly turned a head or two. An hour later I mentioned that I really needed to get back back to Rachael Welch and call before the end of the day. Finally one of the ladies in the office was brave enough to ask, who did you say you were calling? I realized that I had not mentioned it was the manufacturer of the Rachael Welch wigs and not the famous lady herself. I had to confess that I did not know Rachael Welch and she did not know me. I was trying to contact the manufacturer and get the wigs in for the website. We all had a big laugh over that one.

WIGS, WIGS, WIGSTOP!
It has been a busy year and a half getting in touch with all the wholesalers and learning all about wigs. What is a lace front wig? What is a wig vacuum? I didn't know they made one of those, or what it looked like. Yes, we do carry a wig vacuum and have sold one. We wanted to have a product that was quality. (I know that sounds so cliche). I also wanted to be able to buy one myself on my budget. So we found all kinds of wigs at all kinds of prices. It has now been about 2 years and I feel I can talk dept about wigs. the blessing has been that my daughter has been working at home just like I imagined and we both like trying on the wigs and checking out the new styles. I also realize there are many manufactures. We carrry wigs by, Rachael Welch, Jon Renue, Rene of Paris, Bobbie Boss, Revlon, Wig America, Tressallure, and some more I can't remember at this moment.

Why Wigs?
So, why am i selling wigs on the Internet? I actually have an answer to that. I started the web business so my daughter could stay home with her 3 children. I came across this program that would help her do just that, but then needed to decide what to sell. I am a computer nerd and she is into making beaded jewelry. I began to pray and ask what could I sell that would do well and we both could get into. What came up was... Wigs. So began our search far and wide for all kinds of wigs and who actually made them and sold them. Research had to be done first. Not my favorite part but it was the beginning of www.thewigstop.com . I liked the name so it stuck.
